About

Aja graduated from Texas State University in 2012 with a B.A. in Philosophy, Pre-Law, and a Minor in Business Administration. Aspiring to go to law school someday, Aja put that aspiration on hold and began her professional career as an entry-level account manager for a private marketing and sales firm in San Antonio, TX. In 2015, Aja pursued an opportunity to become a human resources manager for a sister sales firm in Salt Lake City, UT, where she oversaw recruiting, hiring, branding, and legal compliance.

She decided to pursue branding full-time and help one of her sales firm colleagues build a brand management company. Aja quickly found success as a brand developer and visual designer. Still, her aspiration to become a lawyer remained. When the pandemic hit in 2020, Aja used her time at home to study for the LSAT, which she took in November 2020. She was accepted to New York Law School and began her legal education in August 2021.

After exploring several areas of law, Aja realized that she was passionate about advocating for those charged with crimes. She firmly believes that everyone deserves their day and court and has a right to tell their side of the story. Recognizing this passion, TMU Law hired Aja as a Legal Intern in May 2022. She aids our team in motion practice, legal research, client interviewing, discovery review, and more.
